TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS

This Time Management course focuses on available resources to assist people to develop skills & opportunities to bring about increased personal & organizational productivity

OBJECTIVES
1. To prepare delegates for their roles & responsibilities in a structured Time Management Skills programme
2. To equip delegates with the necessary Time Management tools & skills to:
• effectively utilise resources & time
• understand the way motivation stimulates effective & rewarding work habits through effective planning

• Significance of factors influencing results
• Energy Management
• Understanding Behaviour
• Break & build habits
• Decision making abilities

DAY 2:
• Planning & Organising
• Personal purpose & values
• Procrastination
• Dealing with interruptions
• Effective Delegation
• Set goals & objectives
• Lead a fulfilling life – Now!
• Practical examples & activities

DAY 3:
• 1 day feedback/assignments (OPTIONAL)

TARGET AUDIENCE
People who need to get more out of every day & live a happy & rewarding life with a balance between family, work & personal growth

PURPOSE
• To equip people with knowledge & skills to gain a better understanding of the concepts of time
• To expand time management abilities within individuals or teams

LEARNING OUTCOMES
After completion of the Time Management training course, delegates will be able to:
• Understand & manage the value of various resources, including time
• Understand the concept of time
• Identify key issues & resources
• Use creativity in management of resources
• Understand & apply concepts of goals setting, planning, objectives & prioritizing
• Apply appropriate principles of time management
• Manage the reality of life/work balance
• Address personal & common issues regarding management of time
• Identify & solve problems using critical & creative thinking when prioritizing tasks & translating strategy into action
• Understand prioritising as a technique to manage the work of a team/group
• Apply time efficient work plans to carry out critical work functions

DURATION & IMPLEMENTATION
1 or 2 days: (To suit needs of specific Organisation)
• 1 or 2 days interactive workshop
• 1 day feedback/assignments (OPTIONAL)

PRESENTATION STYLE
Highly interactive and participative facilitation methods and techniques to enable delegates to gain experiential learning through lecture presentations, group work, role plays and case studies

RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS
• The workshop will take place at the client’s premises or at a venue mutually selected by the relevant representatives
• Venue requirements: Board room/Training Room with tables, chairs and water on the tables
• Learning aids requirements: Whiteboard and/or flipchart with pens, data projector

ASSESSMENT METHODS

• Knowledge assessment: Both written & verbal assignments during the learning programme/workshops
• Competence assessment: 1 Assignment to be completed & returned to the facilitator for evaluation & feedback to evaluate applicable skills & knowledge (OPTIONAL)
